Food4you app

Storytelling

Explore captivating storytelling through the video below.

Food4you is a recently developed app designed to simplify the process of finding recipes and effectively managing dietary restrictions. The main goal is to make it easier for people to find recipes and manage their dietary restrictions effectively. We have been assigned an
16-week timeline to achieve this goal.

THE PROBLEM

How might we make Olivia's daily meal choices easier, ensuring they meet her dietary needs, while still providing variety and enjoyment?

Olivia battles diabetes and lactose intolerance, so she struggles to choose meals and feels tired and frustrated.

THE SOLUTION

Implement clear navigation menus and search functionality making it easy for customers to find specific items or categories. CHANGE

Streamlining the checkout process with clear and concise steps and minimizing the number of form fields can significantly improve the customer experience. CHANGE

HOW WE GOT THERE

The double diamond approach was perfect for this project because it helped us consider all possibilities (brainstorming) before making a final decision.

EXPLORING THE MARKET

The Food4You encompasses a vast audience. In Brazil alone, there are 53 million lactose intolerant individuals, 16.8 million diabetics, 2 million celiacs, and 30 million vegetarians and vegans.

Keeping this in mind, our proto personas were developed to represent the most diverse range of audiences.

TASKFLOW & USERFLOW

After learning what users wanted, we planned the easy ways they'd use the app (what they do) and made my design process smooth (how I work).

WIREFRAMES

We started with low-fidelity wireframes to establish the core user flow and information architecture before diving into higher-fidelity mockups.

USABILITY TESTING

We conducted usability tests with 7 potential users during the development of the low-fidelity prototype, all within the user profile we are targeting.

USABILITY TESTING RESULTS

According to the test results, we were able to modify some aspects of the prototype to better meet the users' needs in the high-fidelity version.

MOODBOARD

From there, we were able to have a general overview of which graphic and iconographic elements will best harmonize the visual identity of the application.

DESIGN SYSTEM & ACESSIBILITY STANDARDS

We adjusted to create a strong Design System, this system ensures a seamless user experience for filtering and finding suitable meals. You can fully access it here.
